Regional Sales Manager South East Asia

API Schmidt-Bretten is seeking to hire a Regional Sales Manager – based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - to lead the sales efforts in South East Asia to include Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia and Philippines.
Position Responsibilities:
- Establish and evolve the strategic direction of the South East Asia market.
- Develop the sales and marketing plans to execute the strategy to include such items as direct and indirect sales channels, locating assembler and packaging partners and attending trade exhibitions.
- Gather market and competitive intelligence.
- Secure and expand current markets. Identify and penetrate new markets.
- Act as a technical resource and subject matter expert to customer base.
- Manage the sales budget, including analysis and problem resolution.
- Partner with various internal departments in Germany in order to successfully execute the sales strategy.
- Coordinate sourcing and logistics with locals, Germany and China.
Experience / Education
- Proven track record of successful technical sales experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position.
- Process equipment knowledge is required and plate heat exchanger knowledge is ideal.
- Should have worked with a multi-national company. Experience with German companies preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or Engineering degree required.
