Plate heat exchangers have been used in breweries ever since the first closed wort pipe cooler was introduced as a successor to spray cooling. Today, our plate heat exchangers, based on our SIGMA plate technology, go beyond wort cooling – they are also used for vapor condensation removal, yeast cooling, beer freezing, CIP solution heating, and other thermal processes.
